Mica Penniman (né le 18 août 1983 à Beyrouth, Liban) dit Mika, est un chanteur de pop anglaise de nationalité libano-américaine vivant à Londres. Carrière musicale : Ses performances en public et ses emplois ont varié entre des choses classiques, au Royal Opera, l'écriture d'une musique de vols pour British Airways et la composition de la musique d'une pub pour des chewing-gums. Il a fait une apparition sur la radio BBC 1 en septembre 2006, et sur The Friday Night Project le 20 janvier 2007. En janvier 2007, il est arrivé en tête d'un sondage sur le site web de la BBC Sound of 2007 (Le son de 2007) Son premier single était un 7" limité appelé Relax, Take It Easy (2006) sur lequel on retrouve la mélodie de (I Just) Died in Your Arms de Cutting Crew. Le hasard fera que ce sera ce single qui, en février 2007, atteindra la première place des téléchargements en France. Universal Music a sorti son single Grace Kelly en téléchargement numérique le 8 janvier 2007, et il a atteint la place numéro un des charts anglais des singles le 21 janvier 2007. Une semaine avant sa sortie, il devient le deuxième titre à atteindre la première place des "Charts" uniquement grâce au téléchargement. La sortie du premier album de Mika Life In Cartoon Motion, produit et mixé par Greg Wells à Los Angeles, le 5 février 2007 a suscité des comparaisons avec des artistes tels que Freddie Mercury, Robbie Williams, George Michael, Scissor Sisters, Rufus Wainwright et Elton John.
