Kygo, de son vrai nom Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, né le 11 septembre 1991 à Bergen (Norvège), est un platiniste et producteur norvégien. Kygo commença à prendre des leçons de piano à six ans. Après dix ans de piano, l'écoute de Seek Bromance d'Avicii le convainquit de se lancer dans la composition de musique électronique. Après que ses morceaux eurent été écoutés et visionnés plus de 80 millions de fois, il fut contacté à la fois par Avicii et Chris Martin pour composer des reprises officielles de leurs morceaux. Il apparut en première partie d'Avicii au Findings Festival d'Oslo en 2014. Le 19 septembre 2014, il fut confirmé qu'il remplacerait Avicii à TomorrowWorld le 26 septembre 2014, à cause des problèmes de santé de ce dernier. Dans une interview publiée par le magazine Billboard, il évoque ses reprises pour Diplo et Coldplay et sa future tournée nord-américaine. En juillet 2014, Kygo signa un des plus gros contrats de l'année avec Ultra Records et Sony, après avoir été convoité par les principaux producteurs de musique électronique. Ce contrat et l'engouement pour sa musique placent Kygo comme l'un des artistes en vogue de la musique électronique. Sa reprise de I See Fire d'Ed Sheeran fut jouée 31,2 millions de fois sur Soundcloud et visionnée plus de 57 millions de fois sur YouTube. Le nombre total d'écoutes et de visionnements de sa musique et ses vidéo dépasse les 80 millions sur Soundcloud et Youtube.
