Designed to feel like the World Grand Prix, the set allows kids to blast Lightning McQueen through European locations, such as Paris, Italy, and London. The goal is to make it to the Winner's Circle, which we had a really hard time doing. You're supposed to launch the car by pressing the launcher and watch it zoom out of the starting gate, over a jump, and around the bend. However, we had a couple issues with this. First, you have to be sure to hit the launcher just hard enough. If you hit it too hard, the car jumps the track and lands on the floor. If you don't hit it hard enough, it doesn't make it around the track. The second issue is that once you do find that perfect balance to launch the car, depending on how the track is set up, it may be really difficult to make it to the Winner's Circle. If the finish gates at the end are positioned as they're supposed to be, the car always seems to veer to the left. No matter how many times we tried, it never went to the Winner's Circle. If you reposition the gates so they're more open, then Lightning McQueen can finally win the race.
