This is a Hallet & Davis Lexington Simplex 88 note player piano. Purchased from a movers warehouse in New Bedford, Mass. for 25.00 in 1953!, I converted it to Ampico A in 1970. I chose the "A" system, over the "B" system to be sure to get the most expression from the earliest Stoddard Ampico Rolls. It can play the largest Jumbo Ampico rolls with ease, and can still foot-pump ALL 88 notes, with expression. The Duo-Art, Welte, Amp. notations merely tell how many notes to shut off when foot pumping these rolls. I did this 3 years before converting to Ampico. Got tired of putting tape on the tracker. This is a New recording 2/4/11. At this time, YT allowed only 15 mins video time, so had to cut all Jumbo rolls in half. Had to dump all the others because of sound problems.
