Unfortunately, they aren't really 'finished' guitars in terms of cosmetics, so I would probably end up taking it somewhere to be 'finished' and then just have a really cool and versatile guitar. This one featured today is the first Les Paul Custom I've seen - these were usually Classics or Standards and only given to Gibson's top dealers to help them sell Gibson pickups. These shipped to the store with 57 Classic, 57 Classic Plus, p90 set, p100 set and Tony Iommi set and a 500T pickups. That's 9 different pickups to choose from! I really wish they would've put in a Jimmy Page wiring harness for coil splits/taps, in/out of phase as well as series and parallel. You'd be in tonal heaven... or hell haha Since these Demo guitars were never technically 'for sale' it can be hard to find one for sale and the asking prices are usually high since these are kind of collector's items. Don't fear though, if you like this idea... there is another way! For the Guitar of the Month Series, they also made a similar guitar called the 'Push Tone.' These guitars featured AAA flamed maple tops with mahogany backs and 50s styled Mahogany necks. They also had ebony fretboards and... maple fretboard markers!
