Alice Fredenham impressed Simon Cowell with her vocal ability on Britains Got Talent. The shy singer, 28, a Beauty Therapist from Hertfoerdshire, whose audition was aired on Saturday April 13th 2013, battled nerves before taking to the stage at the Britain's Got Talent auditions and didn't tell her friends or family that she was attending. But Alice stunned Simon and fellow judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams despite previously being knocked back by BBC singing competition The Voice. Alice, who didn't even make it far enough in The Voice's audition process to sing in front of the celebrity mentors, told the Daily Star Sunday: "It did knock me back a bit but going on BGT has helped me to overcome that. "Initially I felt as though I couldn't put myself through the rejection. But I know I can turn a negative into a positive." And Alice has finally accepted that she needs to swallow her nerves and increase her confidence if she is to succeed as a singer. "I wasn't sure of myself growing up. I wasn't sure of who I really was and I wouldn't naturally put myself in the spotlight. I can't believe people are comparing me to Adele and Amy Winehouse," she continued. "This is the secret dream but it's taken me this long to admit to myself that it's what I want to do for a career without feeling ridiculous." But Alice should certainly feel confident after receiving the backing of music impresario Simon Cowell who couldn't speak highly enough of the rising star following her audition. "This is what I have been waiting for," he said. "Your voice is liquid gold. You could sing the phone book. "I want to remember the day I met Alice Fredenham because I think you're so special." I think it's safe to say that everyone would agree with that, and are really looking forward to seeing her again.
