Welcome again, my dear friends, to the world of Led Zeppelin Bootlegs! Starting this upload, I'll let you know already; I've become more interested at the '75 Zepp tour, and my next uploads will be from '75, in chronological order; This is the first, recorded, show of the very criticized tour; But let's go! There's a internet blog, called The Year of Led Zeppelin, which made a commitment of listening to Led Zeppelin live, during a whole year; This blog defined this concert as a ''lackluster'', which, in a way, it's true; But if you listen to this concert the way I did, hearing the shouting crowd loving the songs, you'll have a different perspective of the show; The facts around this time are these: Bonzo has a huge hangover, Jimmy has a broken finger, and Percy does not sound ok, with his voice being really degenerated, and with lower vocal range, since he had a surgery around '73; And remember, the Physical Grafitti album has not been released yet! Lots of new songs here; but, to the show itself: It starts with Rock and Roll, in which Percy sounds very well; Sick Again sounds really good and the crowd seems to love it; Right after Sick Again Percy explains to the audience that the new album released was delayed, so there would be new songs for the evening; Over the Hills and Far Away sounds more familiar to the crowd, with an odd drum intro by Bonzo, and it's where Jimmy's broken finger starts to interfer at the performance This show proves to be special when they start with When the Levee Breaks, first time ever played live!! Of course, Jimmy's finger is still bugging his performance, but it's still great The Song Remains the Same should have been dropped that evening, mainly because of Pagey's finger, but Percy's voice is cracking a lot; The Rain Song follows up, and it just sucks! The evening's worst part! You can't even hear the mellotron because of the bad recording Kashmir improves the show a bit more, but Jimmy is a bit slow, with some cracks by Percy; ''John Paul Jones is a very good orchestra, and it costs a lot less too'' says Percy after the song The Wanton Song, as When the Levee Breaks, has it's first live performance here, and it sounds so amazing! One of the evening's highlights (Except for the guitar solo, it's not so good); Jonesy uses his small spotlight time by giving us an amazing jam in No Quarter; Trampled Under Foot sounds very Strong, and the crowd loves it! In My Time of Dying is as amazing as in studio, and again, the crowd enjoys it very much, the show's mood is rised up very much ater it's performance Stairway to Heaven features one huge cheering at it's first chords and Jimmy actually gets it quite right despite his finger The encore features a one-minute Whole Lotta Love, which , because of the recording, you can't hear a thing, then passes on to Black Dog, featuring epic line changes by Percy The final act of this almost-all-amazing concert is a shaky Communication Breakdown, which has been very criticized by everybody I know, which, yes, we could have lived without it, but, it's not the worst either! Enjoy dear friends! *It takes a while for Jimmy to start Communication right *This is been called a warm-up show, which ir true; They're still working on the new songs, so that's why Dazed and Moby Dick weren't performed; and it's the reason I didn't have to divide any vídeo in two or three parts! Yeah! hahaha
