Leader charismatique du groupe Odd Future, Tyler The Creator fait partie des jeunes espoirs du rap américain. Ce touche à tout assure aussi bien la production des morceaux de son groupe que la réalisation de ses clips. L'histoire commence réellement en 2010 alors que Tyler et sa bande diffusent sur le net leurs vidéos un brin provocantes, telles que "E.A.R.L." où l'on voit le groupe absorber un mélange aux effets secondaires sanguignolents. En moins de 6 mois leur couverture médiatique va exploser : le rappeur et ses potes se retrouvent à la une de toute la presse spécialisée, notamment après la sortie du clip de "Yonkers", premier extrait de son deuxième album solo Goblin, sorti chez XL Recordings. Une première pour Tyler qui avait jusque là pour habitude de laisser ses morceaux disponibles gratuitement sur la toile (comme cela avait été le cas pour son premier album Bastard). S'enchaînent alors les premières dates aux Etats-Unis, (dont un live à Coachella le plus gros festival US), puis européennes pour la promotion de Goblin.
