Tinie Tempah, de son vrai nom Patrick Okogwu, né le 7 novembre 1988, est un rappeur britannique de Londres d'origine Nigériane. Né Patrick Okogwu Jr. à Plumstead (Sud de Londres) le 7 novembre 1988, le rappeur Tinie Tempah commence à enregistrer dès l'adolescence. Il obtient un premier hit underground avec le titre « Wifey », dont le clip est diffusé sur la chaîne câblée Channel U en 2006. L'année suivante, il monte le label Disturbing Label (DL) et réalise la mixtape Hood Economics - Room 147: 80 Minute Course, avec les interventions de Chipmunk et DVA. Ces premières initiatives attirent l'attention du label Parlophone (EMI) qui signe le rappeur dans la foulée. L'année 2010 s'avère florissante puisque le premier single de Tinie Tempah, « Pass Out », décroche la 1ère place des charts anglais dès sa sortie, en mars. En juin son successeur « Frisky », écrit et produit par son alter ego Labrinth, se contente de la deuxième place. Le troisième single, « Written In The Stars » (n°1), avec la participation du chanteur Eric Turner, précède de peu l'album Disc-Overy qui sort le 4 octobre. L'album réalisé avec une escouade de producteurs (Labrinth, Al Shux, Swedish House Mafia) comprend des duos avec Range (« Just A Little »), Kelly Rowland (« Invicible »), Ellie Goulding (« Wonderman ») et Emeli Sandé (« Let Go »). Ce n'est plus une surprise, Disc-Overy entre directement au sommet des classements. En 2011 il réalise la 1er partie de la tournée en FRANCE de Usher OMG Tour. Read more on Last.fm.
