This four-piece acoustic ensemble band called The Dead South has some serious bluegrass vibe. With heavy guitar strumming, mandolin chops, cello melodies that are out there and the ‘rough around the edges’ vocals, these guys spice up the whole Americana sound. Unlike you’ve heard before, it’s a pleasant, upbeat blend of what they like to call ‘boot-stomping’ acoustic music’. It just so happened that this energetic, musical foursome played at the music festival Sniester in The Hague and obviously Rockstone Sessions - being specialists when it comes to acoustic music - had to record a session with these guys. Get ready for some serious country vibes, because four Canadian lads are about to take you to the spheres of the dirty south with their energetic song ‘These Boots’.
