Taylor Swift (née Taylor Alison Swift le 13 décembre 1989 à Wyomissing en Pennsylvanie, États-Unis) est une chanteuse de country pop américaine qui a commencé sa carrière très jeune. Taylor Swift est née à Wyomissing en Pennsylvania. Son père, Scott, est agent de change et sa mère, Andrea Swift est une mère au foyer. Elle a un frère cadet, Austin. Quand elle était dans la classe fourth grade, Taylor Swift a gagné le concours national de poésie avec un poème intitulé Monster In My Closet (Un monstre dans mon placard). À l'âge de 10 ans, Taylor commence à écrire des chansons, et commence également à faire des concours de Karaoké. Lors d'un été, Taylor a écrit un roman de 350 pages (non publié). Taylor avoue être admirative de Patsy Cline et Dolly Parton. À l'âge de 11 ans, elle fait son premier voyage à Nashville, le lieu symbolique de la musique country, dans les espoirs d'obtenir un contrat. Elle frappe à toutes les maisons de disques et distribue des démonstrations qu'elle avait enregistré en karaoké. Puis, sa famille décida de déménager près de Nashville.
