Taio Cruz est un auteur-compositeur anglais né le 23 avril 1985 à Londres. Il œuvre sur les terres musicales du hip-hop et du R'n'B, et son single Your Game chanté par Will Young a été nommé meilleur single de l'année aux Brit Awards en 2007. Taio Cruz a baigné dans la musique depuis l'enfance, il a commencé a travailler au collège, et a débuté la production alors qu'il était encore au lycée. Il a travaillé très vite avec Omar, Nitin Sawhney, Wookie et Will Young, et ce avant même d'être adulte. Taio fonde et dirige le label Rockstarr Music London, et a sorti son premier single en 2005 "I Just Wanna Know". Il concrétise la même année un deal de distribution-production avec Republic Records et Island Records, deux labels du groupe Universal. Son premier album "Departure", écrit et produit par lui même est sorti en Angleterre en mars 2008, et se trouve constitué de ses précédents singles, s'ajoute des featurings comme sur le titre "Come On Girl" avec Luciana. Taio Cruz fait partie d'une nouvelle génération de producteurs anglais, tant influencés par le monde de la dance que par celui de la pop et du Hip Hop.
