On 8 July 2011 the ultimate 'Super Jam 2011' rock 'n' roll fundraising evening will take place at the Royal Albert Hall. Music legends already confirmed to include Deep Purple's, Ian Paice, Ian Gillian, Don Airey, Roger Glover, Steve Morse alongside Jon Lord, Joe Bonamasa, Danny Bowes, Rick Wakeman, Newton Faulkner and more legendary names are expected to be announced in due course. Actor and rock lover Jeremy Irons will once again act as MC for the evening. Super Jam 2011 will be the charity's biggest event to date and will help to increase the already raised funds from past events - which have included guest performances by other world famous artists Status Quo, Paul Weller, Robert Plant, Ray Cooper, Bruce Dickinson, Suggs and the late great Gary Moore. Founder Jacky Paice says, "This is the largest event ever undertaken by The Sunflower Jam charity and we hope the 8th July 2011 will be a sell-out success attracting guests from all over the world. The event will be used to raise awareness of the newly created charity with all monies raised going directly into a range of agreed projects. More artists will be announced over the coming weeks so watch this space for more details www.thesunflowerjam.com." Jon Lord of Deep Purple is one of the trustees and active supporters of the charity, says: 'The Sunflower Jam has become an established event for two reasons: because it's such a great cause and because it's such huge fun too!'
