My surgery was a septoplasty and turbinate reduction on both sides. The doctor also told me he cleared/ "opened up" my frontal sinus and maxillary on both sides. NOTES: I did not take any prescription pain medicine, only Tylenol Extra Strength. Do not blow your nose for the first week. If you must sneeze SNEEZE THROUGH YOUR MOUTH. In New York, any time I have had surgery, a representative from the hospital calls me a day or two after to check in. If you have any questions or concerns that is a good time to bring them up. Bleeding from the nose 2.Tooth tingling and pain 3.Dryness of the tongue and roof of the mouth especially when sleeping 4. Headaches 5. Tearing and watery eyes 6. Dry and itchy skin on nose 7. Dry lips 8. Loss of taste 9. Pressure in the ears 10. Fatigue 11. Difficulty eating 12. Difficulty sleeping 13.
