Septoplasty and Turbinate Reduction surgery 2015 first nasal flush irrigation. Warning: Bloody. This was my first flush, 22 hours after surgery. I had a lot of dried blood in the side I had the procedure on, and dripping blood in my other nostril. AFTERWARDS: blood and mucus and other junk continued to come out. This was with homemade saline, definitely trying pre-made saline from Walgreens next time in 2 hours. My experience coming out of anesthesia was very little pain, but more blood and mucus and fluid than I was expecting. Had so much I needed a suction tube to spit it out into for about 10 minutes. Pain is fine but again my experice was a lot of blood and congestion.
