And she even revealed why she’s still friends with The Weeknd. Selena Gomez is gracing the new cover of Billboard because she was just named Women of The Year and you guys look at this Cover. Can Selgo be any more perfect? The answer is yes because she’s finally giving us answers to questions we’ve had ever since her split with The Weeknd and rekindling with the Biebs. She first opened up about Justin coming back into her life by saying "I'm 25. I'm not 18, or 19, or 20. I cherish people who have really impacted my life. So maybe before, it could have been forcing something that wasn't right. But that doesn't mean caring for someone ever goes away. And [that goes for] people in general," The former Wizards of Waverly Place then goes on to cite Disney Channel alums like Miley Cyrus, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato and says "We've gone through seasons in our lives. I don't think it's as serious as people make things out to be half the time. It's just my life. I grew up with all of these people, and it's so cool to see where everybody is." Not only did she finally reveal how she feels about reuniting with the Biebs, but the interview gets even more interesting when she mentions her ex-boyfriend of 10 months, The Weeknd. The Wolves singer reveals she’s really proud of herself for still being able to keep a true friendship with The Weeknd even after they called it quits. "I truly have never experienced anything like that in my life. We ended it as best friends, and it was genuinely about encouraging and caring [for each other] "And that was pretty remarkable for me." Which sounds really nice, but I also gotta let you guys know this interview was conducted before Selena and The Weeknd both unfollowed each other on social media. So not so sure how much that statement holds up but all we can do is wish for the best for those two. Selena’s definitely gone through a lot of changes this year with her kidney transplant and battling Lupus and has decided to make more control of her career. I want to leave you guys with one last quote from her interview. She says: I handle things in a healthy way. I can enjoy where I'm at. I love being able to say 'no.' I like being a part of the world," she said. "People are so terrified of other people. I see it in my generation a lot. There's so much anxiety and angst, and the pressure just keeps getting worse. [But] I'm proudest of not becoming jaded. I have every reason to be like, 'F--k all of you.' And I don't. I'm going to have the bad days where I don't want to leave my bedroom—but I'm ready for them." Selena continues to remain an inspiration and role model to us all.
