America's Got Talent 2016 The Clairvoyant Demystified (Magic revealed) This video explains the concept behind Thommy Ten's and Amelie van Tass's trick in the quarter finals show of AGT 2016. There is no doubt their exact method may not be the same. The code, the electronics (remote dice, kinetic dice..etc), the sequence, marked deck, maybe they use a fake blindfold ..etc, may in fact be different than what it is presented here. Here we like to present what's the most probable. Look at it as the basic principle of their act. Please watch and support the original act in the AGT channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYY2l35qtIA Our previous reveals of the Clairvoyants: Finale results show: https://youtu.be/xb9Qv_P9Ujg Finals: https://youtu.be/t2JMSdCWtx0 Semi Finals: https://youtu.be/LG7gA1MxhJM Quarter Finals: https://youtu.be/fgB5vhg64GU Judge cuts: https://youtu.be/8Yen3uAFS_c Auditions: https://youtu.be/ps2foGNXprs We are on Twitter: https://twitter.com/yamato905 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Yamato-Educational-Video-Library-104345566672858/?fref=nf FAQ: Q: It was a live show and many people would have seen the installation of a new board by the invisible assistant. A: Assistants were invisible when they were not on stage. You seems to be missing the whole point. There was no new board to install. Instead, a black curtain on a spring roller was required to be installed. It was a handy item easily carried by an assistant or hidden in the metal stand. Pay attention: there was no metal stand attached the blackboard at the beginning of the act. The board was suspended by two cables without a stand. A stand was pushed onto the stage in front of the audience by 2 guys (clearly visible at 4:00 in the AGT act) in the middle of the show when the board was lowered. These 2 guys pretended to nail the board onto the stand, and to unhook two cables. But no one knew they also did the installation of a new roller curtain at 1:12 (3:42 in the AGT act). All this installation was done when the RED CURTAIN WAS STILL UP. No audience could see what they did. Everyone assumed they were there to secure the board onto the metal stand. The same trick, Dream Vision, was performed by David Copperfield https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFoPqj7LGbA and in Magicians https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzT-F3Ai374&t=310 (Thx to Bill for this link). They also had their back facing the audience while reading info from a screen. The difference is, of course, the screen was visible to the audience in their act, while it was blocked by the elevated blackboard in the Clairvoyants performance. Q: They used a Lynx Blackboard. A: It would work but that's not what they used. We showed in the video there were rub marks and creases on both sides (1:28)proved it was not a stationary board. Besides we proved they were two different boards with different dust pattern and "E". There was no need to erase and write everything again if Lynx board was used. Q: If the bowl was so shallow, Mel would see it. A: Yes she did. So? She didn't know why and didn't need to know. That's not her job. She probably assumed that's the way the bowl was. Q: You should not reveal other people's trick. You are a hater. A: In the business world, if you steal confidential information from other companies, reveal it or re-use it, you are in the wrong both legally and ethically. However, if you figure out how others do what they do yourself, it is 100% legal to share whatever you find. The intention is not to ruin the fun. The intention is also not to ruin the reputation of performers. Contrary, by understanding what's behind the trick, we learn how to perform an illusion and truly appreciate how much talent it takes for performers to plan out a trick. For example, you don't understand the theory of Relativity, you don't understand how great Albert Einstein is. He is just another Nobel prize winner to you, isn't he? Q: If you are so smart, why don't you go to AGT yourself instead of revealing other's trick? A: We have never made any claim who are smarter. It is not the purpose of our videos to show off what we can do. Instead, the purpose is to show what we like to do: analyze, share and educate. That's all. In fact, some acts are not analyzable due to different factors. Some acts just don't have enough information display on TV for analysis and for us to draw any reasonable conclusions. _________________________________________________________ Piff the magic dragon, Aiden Sinclair, Oz Pearlman, Mike Super, Grace Vanderwaal , and Tape Face, Mat Franco all came from the same talent show AGT (美國達人秀), India's Got Talent, Britain's Got Talent are similar shows worldwide.
