I like this playlist. I wouldn't call it calming, tranquil, or soothing, but it definitely is a good collection of chill upbeat tunes. The sound chip on The Sega Genesis was interesting - it lent itself well to rock music in action games, but had to be used in a very specific way to make relaxing tunes. If the video game music was composed to suit the genesis sound card, beautiful things happened. If the music wasn't composed as carefully, well... Things don't sound so good (See my unrelaxing music compilation). With this playlist I tried to find as many relaxing examples of the former as I could. Enjoy!
