It’s been a rocky relationship for two of our favorite rappers, but now it’s all love between Drizzy & Nicki It was a huge night for Drake who took home what seemed like EVERY SINGLE AWARD at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, but it was one acceptance speech in particular that has us all singing his praises. While onstage accepting the award for Top 200 Billboard album, Drake delivered a very sentimental speech by showing love to many familiar faces in the crowd. It all began with a story in which Drake explained that he was let down by a friend who didn’t support his work. He then told the crowd QUOTE “You know it’s crazy because we’re all here on Earth for a limited amount of time and we’ve got to show love while we’re here.” And that’s when Drake started personally giving nods to many a celebrity in the room, first telling Vanessa Hudgens QUOTE “"I wanna say that, Vanessa Hudgens, you look incredible tonight.” That sweet moment, however, was stolen by Nicki Minaj who had possibly the greatest reaction ever. YEAH, DRAKE. What about Nicki?! Well, lucky for him, Drake did turn his sentimental speech to the topic of Miss Nicki Minaj, and not gonna lie, it was pretty sweet. OK, fine. It was REALLY sweet, and Nicki Minaj definitely felt the love too. The pair were extremely close before Nicki Minaj started dating rapper Meek Mill, who started some major beef with Drake after accusing him of not writing his own lyrics. Cue the feud that seemed like it would never end, and that also unfortunately put Nicki and Drake against each other too. That standoff recently ended and we’re so happy to see the two back as the powerhouse pair that they were always meant to be. And it only got sweeter from there. After officially setting the record for the most BBMA wins in a year, Drake took his entire team onstage and once again showed Nicki some love. It’s almost like I can hear the crazy romance rumors starting.
