Leurs chants d’adolescents angoissés, imprégnés de désir, d’amours perdues et trouvées, sont chantés avec le genre de passion débordante que seuls un travail acharné et un véritable engagement peuvent engendrer. Leur premier album chez Mercury/Island Def Jam, « Habits », produit par un vieux copain, le chanteur et guitariste Tim Pagnotta, est l’explosion rafraîchissante d’une énergie et d’une attitude rock intemporelles qui trouveraient aussi bien leur place dans le garage rock des années 60 que dans le dance rock de 2010. Leur premier single, « Animal », démarre sur un canon de guitares glissantes et anguleuses pour finir en une chanson qui dégage autant sur scène que sur une piste de danse. C’est un hymne au désir sexuel dans lequel l’exceptionnel chanteur et leader Tyler Glenn gémit, « Take a bite out of my heart tonight » (Arrache un morceau de mon cœur ce soir, ne laissant aucun doute quant à sa sincérité.
