Gameplay video and build tutorial of the iconic Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX AE86 featured in the manga/anime/TV series Initial D (頭文字D / イニシャル・ディー) released in 1995. The AE86 is owned and driven by Takumi Fujiwara. This particular design is well known as being one of the main cars in the series, featuring prominently in advertising, front covers and episodes. The AE86 is renowned for its white and black paintwork, Watanabe wheels and Fujiwara Tofu Shop advertising down the side of the car. I am not claiming this is a 100% perfect replica of the design, however I do feel it is a very accurate version. Most YouTube tutorials speed the video up which can be frustrating to follow; this video was recorded in real time, with minimal editing, so you will be able to follow along easily. I also make sure I include all the small touches often forgotten when making this design, so it is very accurate. I hope you enjoy it! As with all tutorials, try to see this as more of a guide than a strict process - no one's work is perfect! You're bound to see flaws in my design, or find faster ways of creating something - so if that happens, do your own thing! The beauty of experimentation is you find results that please you more than any one else's design would.
