Microsoft takes us down memory lane. If you're a kid of the '90s, then surely you played pogs, rocked a chain wallet or two.... bought an ox while playing Oregon Trail and you definitely battled your friends in Hungry, Hungry Hippos. If that's not enough to make you reminisce about your childhood, than sure Microsoft's new clever and heartfelt commercial will. In a ploy to reach out to the generation Y kids of the world.... The "millennials" if you will, Microsoft has put together one of the best ads we've ever seen and it absolutely screams nostalgia. The commercial promotes their newest device, the Surface tablet and the new and improved Internet Explorer. Take a look: (CLIP) Not going to lie, I totally remember sitting in my computer class in 5th grade and feeling confused by the kids who had Apples at the time. I'd say that with this Ad, Microsoft totally succeeded at making at least ME remember why I once loved their products so darn much.... their use of toys like the tamogatchi and the boys bowl cut -- I know I'm not the only one who loved Nick Carter was spot on. While I'm not sure I'm totally ready to trade in my apple products, I whole-heartedly appreciate this effort. What do you think though?
