The poet Hoffmann and his friend Nicklausse meet a group of students who ask the former to tell them his three greatest love stories: Olympia, Antonia and Giulietta. Which one of them does the poet truly love? In this new production from Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, the acclaimed American tenor John Osborn plays the title role of Hoffmann alongside some of the greatest female singers of the moment of the likes of Ermonela Jaho. The production is signed by the young award-winning German director Tobias Kratzer and conducted by Carlo Rizzi.
