During her opening monologue, Tiffany took a swipe at the other members of the group, who weren’t in attendance. She said QUOTE: “Camila Cabello is here nominated for five awards. So those of you watching at home, hi Fifth Harmony!” Ouch! Well Lauren Jauregui is now speaking out. She took to Twitter saying QUOTE, “Waiting for the day when supporting one successful dope woman does not mean insult to other successful dope women. There is energy and space for us all to beautifully coexist and bless the world with our individual truths, stories and talents.” Even though Lauren is trying to keep it positive, many fans keep referencing that Fifth Harmony VMAs moment where the “fifth member” goes flying off the stage. One person tweeted, “so do you really think y’alls performance last year was not meant to be ‘insulting’ or shady to this dope succesful woman you’re talking about? nothing about it was empowering for the slightest bit.” However, even though most of the responses were positive, it looks like some of the negative tweets struck a nerve with Lauren because she tweeted just 3 hours later, “Incredible even a tweet about uplifting can be misconstrued as shade I give up y’all, talk all the shit you want” Camila is not here for the drama. Before any of this started, she was on the red carpet talking to Scott Evans from Access and she had this to say. Well I’m rooting for all of them to win. Tiffany, Lauren, Camila, Normani, Ally, Dinah Jane. But also, let’s remember that Tiffany Haddish is a comedian and it was just a joke. No need for all of this drama.
