Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi (né le 30 janvier 1984), plus connu sous son nom de scène Kid Cudi, et parfois typographié KiD CuDi, est un rappeur, chanteur et acteur américain. Kid Cudi a également collaboré avec Kanye West, Jay-Z, Common, Snoop Dogg, MGMT, Ratatat, Lady GaGa et quelques artistes du label GOOD Music. Né d'un père mexicain et indien américain et d'une mère afro-américaine, Kid Cudi grandit à Cleveland, dans l'Ohio. Son père meurt d'un cancer alors qu'il n'a que 11 ans. Sa mort aura un effet significatif sur sa musique. Pour fuir cette dure réalité, Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi se replie sur lui-même et vit dans son imaginaire pour s’évader. Son géniteur étant un artiste peintre à ses heures, il rêve à son tour de devenir artiste. Inspiré par la mouvance Native Tongue durant ses études, il décide, à l'âge 20 ans de devenir rappeur et s’en va vivre à Brooklyn, New-York, afin de s’imprégner de la culture Hip-Hop. En 2009, son single « Day'N'Nite ». a atteint le top 5 du Billboard Hot 100 et Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. « Day'N'Nite » fait partie du premier album de Cudi, « Man On The Moon: The End Of Day ». Il mélange les éléments de ses diverses influences afin de créer une musique où il raconte des évènements de sa vie, à l'image de son premier single Day'N'Nite (également remixé par Crookers) dans lequel il explique ses erreurs et comment il a appris à vivre avec. Il a obtenu l'attention du public après la sortie de sa mixtape « A Kid Named Cudi ». Grâce à son album Man On The Moon: The End Of Day', il enchaine les tournées aux USA.
