Jon Dorenbos “America’s Got Talent 2016” Audition Video: Football Player Stuns With Magic Pro football player Jon Dorenbos stunned with a magic act during the “America’s Got Talent” auditions on Tuesday. Check out the video below! Howie Mandel quickly recognized Dorenbos as a longtime player for the Philadelphia Eagles, and the athlete said he spends his off-season touring with comedy and magic performances. Simon Cowell wondered what would happen if he made the cut. “Let’s be honest: The NFL stands for ‘not for long,'” Dorenbos said. “So I’ve been lucky here. You always gotta have a back-up plan.” He proceeded to go right up to the judges’ table to perform a trick with a paper clip and a deck of cards. He had the panel mesmerized as all the cards came up at the right time, from ace to king. Most amazingly, the card Cowell had chosen in the end was one that Mel B had randomly selected to set aside at the beginning. Cowell appeared to be speechless afterward, while Mandel stood to give a standing ovation. “You have a gift, and it is the gift of making magic happen for you and for others,” the comic said, adding, “It was not only very entertaining and [a] funny moment, but an amazing moment.” Mel B called Dorenbos “shockingly good,” while Heidi Klum told him, “You’re charming. I loved it. You were right in front of us, and I had no idea how you did it.” And Cowell ultimately said, “For someone who doesn’t do this professionally, it was so slick, so fast. Your dialogue is great.” The mogul went on, “It was amazing. I’m really impressed.” Watch below!
