The Vivo Nex delivers a full-screen display (well, almost) and an under-glass fingerprint scanner along with top-tier specs Vivo NEX and NEX Ultimate: Review of specification! The Vivo NEX Ultimate first, the smartphone ships with a 6.59-inch Ultra FullView FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.3:9. The handset offers a screen-to-body ratio of 91.24 percent. To achieve this, Vivo has used proprietary Screen SoundCasting technology for audio delivery and hidden sensors. On the performance front, the handset comes powered by the top-tier Snapdragon 845 processor. The chipset is mated to 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of native storage, which can be further expanded using a microSD card. Moving on to the camera department, the NEX Ultimate flaunts a 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera module at the rear and an 8-megapixel elevating selfie camera on the top. Out of the box, the NEX Ultimate will boot Android 8.1 Oreo and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery. The handset comes with the third-generation under-display fingerprint scanner for security, which Vivo claims to be 50 percent more accurate and 10 percent faster. Moving on to the Vivo NEX, the smartphone comes with the same display panel as the high-end variant. However, in the performance department, the smartphone comes with the latest Snapdragon 710 chipset, which is the latest from Qualcomm. The phone also gets lesser RAM in comparison as ships with 6GB capacity. It comes with an expandable 128GB storage. Further, the affordable variant comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and gives the under-display biometrics a miss. Rest of the specs are same as the top model. Both smartphones also get Vivo’s advanced voice assistant called Jovi with a dedicated physical button. Vivo is offering the NEX duo in two colour options – black and red. The Vivo NEX will retail for RMB 3,898 (~Rs 41,000). The Vivo NEX Ultimate on the other hand, will set you back by RMB 4498 (~Rs 47,000) for the 128GB model, whereas the 256-gig variant comes with a sticker price of RMB 4,998 (~Rs 52,700).
