After meeting with Dekeisha, Ebiakpo and the maid of honor for the consultation they selected John Bayley Photography Studio. Dekeisha later mentioned they were winners of the Essence, Will You Marry Me ?" contest. We felt compelled to share their remarkable love story. This is the winning proposal letter to Essence that won many hearts. "Dear DeKeisha, I was instantly attracted to you during a chance meeting on a ski trip to Boston. But I could've kicked myself for not getting your number immediately. As fate would have it, we ran into each other a month later in New York. I remember telling my cousin, "I'm going to marry this woman." You were so warm and giving. In 2007, when you were diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, I was heartbroken. The disease only made me realize that I never want to leave your side. You once asked me if I could meet anyone, who would it be. The answer is, and always will be, our children. I can't wait until we start our family. Will you marry me?"
