At some point, if it seems like you’re just listing how a song synchronizes with a music video, rather than trying to fit in things that aren’t there from a different song, it’s probably on purpose. I think I figured out your secret, Jamie Hewlett. The following is a complete list of observations regarding ‘Man Research (Clapper)’ fitting in to the video for ‘DoYaThing’. My theory is Jamie Hewlett did this on purpose to honor the work put into ‘Man Research’ and also as a cool Easter egg after all the fan made music videos that superimpose footage from other videos. I found this completely on accident. 1. Tweeting at the beginning coincides with the alarm. 2. Second guitar twang coincides with 2D sitting up in bed. 3. The end of the swizzle aligns with 2D wiping his face. 4. 2D’s feet hitting the floor align with the drums. 5. 2D shakes out the cobwebs just before the first verse is sung along. 6. The awkward stumble aligns with the swizzling perfectly. 7. His stumbles on the way to the bathroom align with the guitar pangs. 8. “I’ve got sunshine, I’ve got you” aligns perfectly with 2D’s comical shuffling. 9. Right after that line, 2D looks at himself with the mirror. 10. 2D’s facial movements in the mirror match the beat perfectly. 11. The clothes hitting the floor align with the background vocals. 12. 2D’s feet align with the bass line. 13. 2D’s eyes align with the beat when he looks in on Noodle. 14. The line “in the love,” is sung with Noodle in the picture, smiling. 15. 2D’s expression of confusion aligns with the Beat. 16. Andre and the Sweat Collector’s facial movements and blinks respectively are in time with the beat. 17. “To kill the model from my door” (?) synchronizes with 2D’s confusion and viewing of Murdoc’s door. 18. 2D’s movements in the doorway coincide with the beat. Also, “Keep that man ‘way from my door… from my door” synchronizes blatently with the image of 2D in the vast emptiness of the doorway. 19. The cut and Murdoc’s scare of 2D synchronize with the “Oh, Yeah”. 20. 2D and Murdoc’s movements synchronize with the chorus in the descending stairway shot. Watch Murdoc’s arms. 21. Murdoc’s fidgeting on the chair coincide with the chorus climax. 22. The cuts surrounding the Boogieman along with his turn to look at 2D and 2D’s shrug coincide with the bridge here and the creepy noises. 23. “Please keep that man ‘way from my door… oh lord:” the beat coincides with 2D’s steps until Murdoc’s snarl. The 2D interaction is perfectly timed with the line. 24. The kitchen: 2D’s steps synchronize with the beat. 25. The opening of the cabinet, Andre’s scare, and the closing of the cabinet synchronize with the beat and guitar. 26. “From my door, from my door…” synchronizes to the toaster cut and 2D’s injection of the bread perfectly. 27. Ooooh…. Yea yea yea yea…” synchronizes with 2D picking his nose with his tongue. 28. The rest of the line and the psychotic 2D laugh coincide to Murdoc restarting the chair and his creepy slasher smile at the very end. He’s no doubt already planning his beating of 2D. 29. “Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah, Yeah Yeah Yeaah” synchronizes perfectly with the movement of 2D eating the snot, the toast popping out and 2D picking up the toast. 30. The carrot dropping in the fridge has a beat. 31. Andre’s offering of jam and milk and his head, together with 2D’s twitch synchronize perfectly with “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeaah”. 32. Murdoc’s foot sway with the chair stop synchronize with the background vocals. 33. 2D’s eyes while looking at the paper coincide with the beat. 34. The psychotic “yeeah-eeah-eeah-eeah-ah-ah-ah” synchronize with 2D’s hallucination of the comic strip. 35. 2D’s expression looking at Murdoc synchronizes with the beat. 36. Murdoc’s breathing synchronizes with the beat 37. Murdoc’s hitting 2D synchronizes with the final psychotic laughter. 38. Murdoc’s throwing the shoe and the shoe hitting the wall coincide with the beat. 39. 2D’s moment of eye contact with Murdoc synchronizes to the guitar pang. 40. 2D pushing the radio button coincides with the ending of the music, save for the background vocal which continues for a half measure, creating the impression that the song is being shut down.
