Music provided by Audio Library https://youtu.be/84GNW_Mx7cU The main idea of the video was to create a project with fire because it’s impressive and rare to see it in a Chain Reaction (as an example, there are much more tricks with air). And when there is fire it’s generally just a moving candle that burns a rope. But there is a problem with candles, you have to light it just before starting the reaction. It would be better to find a way for the reaction itself to light the fire just at the moment you need it. There is an example of this idea in the Sprice project for America's Got Talent quarterfinals when the machine ended with fireworks : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4xC-CZbAnY#t=0m59s It uses a match to start the fire, this is probably the best way to do it because you only need friction and it's a really common and cheap objet. But in this machine the mecanism was a bit complex and used very large material. My goal was to light a match in the simplest way possible so that everyone will be able to reproduce it. The challenge is that you need a lot of energy to get enough friction, and so what is the best option to release a large quantity of energy in a small space ? A rubber band ! And I already have a cool trick with a rubber band that I found in my video "The New trick" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_4KdMtNb1k#t=0m16s I just added a match on it with tape. Honestly when I tested it for the first time I didn't expect it to work and it was a great surprise ! It had so much potential that I decided to make a screen link with it. The first trick was discovered by accident when the fire cut the rubber band, I think this is the first multi-use rubber band trick ever ! To make this video more impressive I decided to create a big chain reaction in one shot with all the tricks that I found at the end (and also to prove that I can do it to all the people that say that I cheat because it doesn't count when you build and film all the parts separately, even if it's the definition of a screenlink ) It was a great challenge because I didn't build a lot of large projects like that (before this one, my biggest project in one try was in the middle of my random screen link video) and now I can understand the frustration of all machines builders because it failed about 20 times. It took me a full week to build it and make it work. The ideas you can see in this video are more reliable than you think and work almost everytime if you build it correctly (the hardest part was to find how to build it correctly, in the screenlink you have the first version of the trick and in the final machine the 100% working version). And when there was a fail it was never caused by the part with the rubber band ( the match always lights up). Feel free to use it in your videos ! I'm sure there is so many tricks to invent with this concept. Oh and why I didn't upload during more than one year ? Because I prefer quality than quantity and I only upload a video when I think it's awesome, and it was hard to reach the level of Magnets and Marbles in terms of originality. It's the problem when you have a huge sucess, you don't know what to do after it ^^ I don't know if this video is going to be as popular as the previous one (probably not), but personally I love it :) I didn't add music for the final chain reaction, let's just appreciate the sound of dominoes, and RIP headphones users for the explosive part.
