Disturbed est un groupe de nu metal, fondé en 1997 par les musiciens Dan Donegan, Steve "Fuzz" Kmak, Mike Wengren et David Draiman. Le groupe de Chicago s'acharna beaucoup pour trouver une maison de disque, avec deux EPs enregistrés séparément et envoyés à plusieurs compagnies. Le premier album, sorti en 2000, s'appelle The Sickness, accompagné du single "Stupify". Le groupe participa ensuite à l'Ozzfest de 2001, puis participa au premier "Music as a weapon tour", une tournée organisée par le groupe, regroupant différents groupes de nu metal et de hard rock. La première tournée réunit Stereomud, Systematic, Adema, Drowning Pool et bien sûr Disturbed. Une deuxième tournée donnera lieu à un album live, sorti en 2004. Leur second album, Believe, sort en octobre 2002. En 2003, ils participent une seconde fois à l'Ozzfest. Leur dernier album, Ten Thousand Fists est sorti le 21 novembre 2005 aux États-Unis. C'est, en quelque sorte, un mélange entre la fabuleuse musicalité de Believe et le côté hard de The Sickness. Read more on Last.fm.
