As you know, Aretha Franklin made the TV rounds with interviews on Whitney's death and she stated that she would be at the funeral. On the day before the funeral, it was announced that that Aretha would not attend. It was not announced at the time that Aretha was to perform at Radio City Music Hall in NYC - about a 14 mile drive from Newark! Dionne knew that Aretha would not be there so announcing that she was up next, I think that Dionne was at least trying to put Aretha on blast for ditching the funeral! If Bobby Brown made it and was treated like shit, had a show to do on the other part of CT near RI and he was still able to make both, Aretha should have been able to go. Aretha said that she was "ill" then that her leg hurt! It was not hurt enough to stop her from doing her show! Don't say that Bobby Brown is a bad man anymore!
