Betrayal of Heroes. Americans were left behind in various wars, as early as 1917 with an illegal incursion into Russia which was coordinated by Minister of Defense Churchill, to help against the Bolsheviks. The operation failed, and thousands were left behind, as the mission was secret. Korean combatants and Vietnam vets were also left behind. Forgotten heroes of these theaters and their cases were reviewed and kept secret by the likes of John McCain, John Kerry and many others. Nixon famously opened dialogue and business with China, so that China would keep the secrets of various illegal operations in Indonesia, and about the captured and forgotten POW's shipped to Russia. Clinton opened dialogue and business with Vietnam to stop the inquiries into POW's and to help keep the secrets of their captivity, disposal and/or shipped to China and then Russia. Additionally, IMF and World Bank loans were arranged for Vietnam, while American oil companies got contracts to develop recent oil finds in Vietnam. Vietnam war POW's became a thorny issue in light of these new developments, which were conceived to avoid the fact that US servicemen were indeed left behind. During your memorial weekends, remember those betrayed by their own governments while the government lied to the public and their families. Remember they were betrayed too by a sycophantic news media, which to this day is fully meshed with the military industrial complex and under the watchful eye of the US intel community.
