Peter Hernandez (né le 8 octobre 1985 à Honolulu, Hawaï), mieux connu sous son nom de scène de Bruno Mars, est un auteur compositeur interprète américain et producteur de musique, il s'est avant tout fait connaitre sur le titre de B.o.B "Nothin 'On You", puis ensuite "Billionaire" de Travis McCoy. Il a également co-écrit le succès international "Right Round" par Flo Rida. Bruno Mars est né et a grandi à Hawaï avec ses parents Pete et Bernadette "Bernie" San Pedro Hernandez Bayot d'origine Philippine pour le père et Porto-ricaine pour la mère. Il a grandi autour de son frère Eric et de ses sœurs Jaime, Tiara, Tahiti et Presley. Il provient d'une famille musicale qui lui a apporté un mélange varié de Reggae, Rock, Hip-Hop et R&B. Dès son plus jeune âge, il interprète des chansons de grands artistes tels que Michael Jackson et Elvis Presley. En 1990, à l'âge de 4 ans, Peter a été présenté dans le MidWeek magazine comme le "Little Elvis". Il fut scolarisé au lycée "President Theodore Roosevelt High School" de Honolulu à Hawaï et obtint son diplôme en 2003 à l'âge de 17 ans. Peu après, il déménagea à Los Angeles pour poursuivre sa carrière musicale. Il signe donc avec Motown Records en 2005. Avant de devenir un artiste solo à succès, il a été un producteur de musique pour des artistes comme Flo Rida, Maroon 5, et Brandy . Il fut projeté sur le devant de la scène grâce au succès de B.o.B "Nothin 'On You", et sortit ensuite son album intitulé "It's Better If You Don't Understand" le 11 mai 2010.
