Bobby McFerrin, né le 11 mars 1950, est un chanteur, vocaliste et chef d'orchestre américain. Doté d'une voix hors du commun, il s'est spécialisé dans les compositions ou arrangements a cappella de genres très différents comme le jazz, le rock, la pop, la funk, la world music ou le classique. Son principe est de reproduire toute une orchestration de la basse jusqu'à la voix principale uniquement avec la voix, en imitant le timbre de toutes sortes d'instruments. Sa chanson Don't Worry, Be Happy (musique du film Cocktail de Roger Donaldson) était n°1 au top U.S. en 1988. Il a aussi collaboré avec de grands musiciens de jazz comme le pianiste Chick Corea, ou de classique comme le violoncelliste Yo-Yo Ma. Il a ainsi interprété la chanson du générique du Cosby Show composé par Bill Cosby.
