This was recorded on my Grand Piano 10 minutes ago...One of the most beautiful pieces I have ever heard... It's Marcello from Venice, and then again, it's Bach... Marcello composed the original Oboe concert in the early 18th century, Bach re-wrote it after Marcello... So many different tempers to approach this piece with, some days I play this with passion, many trills and tempo shifts... This version I have toned down a little, to make it different than the other recordings out there... This recording is meant soft and passionate, only a few necessary trills, some minor tempo shifts and only the ending is played mezzo forte... (Loud) If you think you have heard it before, you might have seen 'Fifty shades of Grey', after their first 'love making scene' Grey goes to the living room and plays this piece. I have mentioned it on the recording as I know a lot of potential listeners have heard it played in the movie, and or read about the piece in the book... What can I say, sorry but I actually don't like the book nor the movie... It's not the theme I object to; But the language, so badly written in comparison to my favorite authors... And when it comes to the nightly escapades, we can do better ; ) . When you think of Bach, say his Cello suites, you have to consider that most of his music wasn't 'popular' when he wrote it. He was employed as 'Composer' at an estate, and most of his music, he wrote for himself, played for himself, in a small chamber in the castle... 300 years ago... Wow, just wow... I would love to see a mindmap of his thoughts as he composed his music, all alone, what was the thoughts driving these fantastic, one of a kind, compositions... PS: Sorry for the shaky camera, I hate it, in need of a new camera man ; ) . . .
