Ariana Grande is a gift that keeps on giving, and her latest little present for fans is a Behind the Scenes look at her stunning ‘God is a Woman’ music video. The video turned out to be a sensual, artistic, and powerful statement on feminism and femininity, but it wasn’t all work and no play that went into to making of this masterpiece. In her ‘behind the scenes’ doc, it’s clear that Ari and her collaborators had a ball while creating the visual… Ariana God is a Woman Behind the Scenes The BTS video was directed by longtime Ari collaborato Alfredo Flores, and captures everything from Ari having her body painted to her sharing some sweet PDA with fiance Pete Davidson. Ariana God is a Woman Behind the Scenes If you ever come across anyone who is doubts that these two are truly in love, go ahead and direct them to that sweet and candid moment right there. The artist behind the music video and Ariana’s stunning body paint was Alexa Meade, who recently revealed the true inspiration behind the look of the ‘God is a Woman’ visual: Artist, Georgia O’Keeffe. Alexa explained to Buzzfeed News QUOTE, “The song is about female empowerment, so a big inspiration was Georgia O'Keeffe...Her flowers were so suggestive, and the idea was to create Ariana in the middle of a giant Georgia O'Keeffe painting.” And according to Alexa, Ari being only partially painted as opposed to having her entire body turned into a canvas, was Ari’s idea. Alexa explained of the decision QUOTE, “It was an incredible stroke of genius and artistic insight, and I need to give credit to Ariana for that one.” We’re glad to see Ari getting credit for her genius and having the agency to push herself to new artistic boundaries, and we can’t wait to see what she’ll bring us next.
