Andre Kostelanetz, the Russian born orchestrator and arranger who emigrated to the US back in the 1920's, "meets" another "giant of music" here, more specifically of filmmusic, namely John Barry. This movie theme from the film with the same name (where the Nillson song "Everybody's talkin' also finds it's origin) became a real evergreen and it probably would be difficult to find an orchestra that hasn't recorded this hauntingly beautiful piece yet. When giants like Kostelanetz and Barry "come together" one may expect to encounter magic ..... and that's exactly what happens here ! Andre Kostelanetz adds wordless vocals to the theme and, as a result, what you'll hear could well be defined as "heavenly sounds" ....... This fabulous version of John Barry's masterpiece inspired us to create this videoshow for you, which we called " Reflections ". Enough "said" - let's now just spoil our ears (and to some degree ;-) our eyes as well ?.....) From the 1970 album "Never fall in love again" here are Andre Kostelanetz and his Orchestra with the main theme from "Midnight Cowboy". Enjoy !
