Sowing Peas using a piece of guttering to get them off to a faster start. I decided to give this way of growing or starting off my peas this year as my soil is still so wet and not in the best condition. Hopefully doing it this way and starting them off in a 10 ft length of gutter in compost I can get them going earlier and then transplant the row directly into the ground pretty soon. I do suffer from mice eating direct sown pea seeds in my garden so this should stop this happening as they're being started off in the polytunnel. We'll see how they do.
