Alfie Boe appeared at The Royal Variety Performance on November 13, 2014 - first broadcast on ITV1 on December 8, 2014 - and held in the presence of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. He opened the programme by singing the National Anthem of Great Britain 'God Save the Queen'; sang 'Blue Moon' in his own regard and participated in the finale - a tribute to Frank Sinatra 'Fly Me to the Moon'.
