First of many videos tracking my progress after Septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery. This is day 1. Pain is 3-5/10, definitely better with pain meds. Too bad the pain meds take 1.5 hours to kick in for me. Symptoms day 1: sore throat, teeth pain (like the feeling after getting teeth cleaned), dizziness, nose, teeth, throat pain 3-5/10. Signs: Nasal bleeding (changed gauze pads 3 times so far in first 7.5 hours), postnasal drip with blood and mucus. I didn't have any severe pain, significant nausea, vomiting, pouring of blood out of nose, loss of appetite. No loss of appetite initially. For lunch I had a bowl of chicken noodle soup and 1/4 grilled cheese sandwich. That was around 11:30. I have drank some hot tea with honey to try and soothe my throat since then. I guess I'm starting to feel more of a loss of appetite now into the evening. Resting a lot in bed. We have a tempur-pedic bed which I elevated to 40 degrees or so. So far day 1 isn't too bad.
