The production of gas is a natural part of the human digestive process. A lot of people are afraid of the possibility of passing gas when other people are around. You can also chew a fresh piece of ginger regularly after meals. 4. Baking Soda and Lemon One very popular home treatment for gas is the use of lemon and baking soda. When they are combined, the mixture makes a very effective antacid. Mix the juice of one fresh lemon in a glass with some baking soda. This will result in a fizzing. Add some more baking soda and stir in a cup of water. Make sure the baking soda dissolves completely. If you want instant relief from gas, just mix a small amount of baking soda to a glass of water and drink it on empty stomach. 5. Garlic The very strong healing quality present in garlic helps stimulate the gastric juices. This will offer relief from stomach gas. Make a garlic soup to reduce gas. This will also help with proper digestion. Always use fresh garlic for the best results. 6. Peppermint Peppermint can be used in many different ways to help treat a gas problem. You can make a tea by adding fresh peppermint leaves to a cup of boiling water. Let it sit for a few minutes, strain it and then add some honey. You can also chew peppermint leaves for instant relief. Another way to get the benefit of peppermint is to put two drops of peppermint oil in one-half cup of cool water. Drink it once or twice a day. 7. Cardamom Cardamon is another very common kitchen spice that can speed up digestion and give you excellent relief from stomach gas. Just add some cardamom powder to vegetables, rice or lentils to help prevent gas. You can also chew whole pods of cardamom a few times a day to relieve the build up of stomach gas.
