Yeltsin proved that North Korea pestered the Soviet Union into letting them invade South Korea

Yeltsin did this in 1994 with old Soviet documents showing North Korea harassed the USSR and even communist China into approving the idea that North Korea begin the Korean War! See book "Forgotten War Remembered, Korea" for more on these documents.
